Every Spring we send membership a packet of very important material relating to election of officers of the Association, MASC award nominations, volunteers to serve on MASC Committees, and resolutions for our Delegate Assembly in November. This is your chance to offer a nomination, propose a resolution, volunteer to serve, or run for an MASC office. Each form is separated into tabs sorted by submission deadline; a brief description and application details for each form may be found within each tab; the forms themselves are hyperlinked within each tab.
MASC Past Presidents’ Scholarship
Submission Deadline: May 5, 2025
MASC has established a scholarship funded by and honoring the Association’s Past Presidents to recognize an outstanding student who demonstrates outstanding scholarship, service to the school district, community or public at large, or distinguished achievement.
MASC Executive Officer Nomination
Submission Deadline: June 2, 2025
Candidates are being sought for the MASC Executive Board (President-Elect, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer). Please note nominations for division officer positions are posted later in the year.
MASC Outstanding School Partner Award Nomination
Submission Deadline: June 2, 2025
This award recognizes a corporate or nonprofit entity who, through their contribution to the public schools have demonstrated support for public education. The contribution may be in any form including financial, programmatic or in-kind, and may represent single or multi-year support provided that it is ongoing during the year the nomination is made.
MASC Community Leader for Public Education Award Nomination
Submission Deadline: June 2, 2025
This award recognizes an individual community leader who has demonstrated outstanding support for the public schools. Recipients may not be currently seated school committee members, members of the state legislature, or current MASC staff.
MASC Friend of Public Education Award Nomination
Submission Deadline: June 2, 2025
This award recognizes an individual or group of individuals (not an official organization) who through their contribution to the public schools of any community, region, or at large, have demonstrated commitment to and support of public education. The contribution may be in any form including financial, programmatic or in-kind, and may represent single or multi- year support provided that it is ongoing during the year the nomination is made.
Submission Deadline: June 2, 2025
Resolutions are the primary vehicle for our members to establish formal positions of the organization and develop legislative positions and action. At least 5 members across 2 divisions must submit the same resolution to be automatically considered at the Delegate Assembly; if this benchmark is not met, the Resolutions Committee may vote to move the resolution forward to full membership.
2025 MASC All-State School Committee Nomination
Submission Deadline: July 1, 2025
The All-State School Committee is established to annually recognize significant achievement on the part of local school committee members. This recognition is intended to honor school committee members who, during the previous year, have made a significant contribution to their community or their school committee either through specific action or as an inspiration and role model for their peers and constituents.
MASC Lifetime Achievement Nomination
Submission Deadline: July 1, 2025
Lifetime achievement is a designation established to honor individuals who, through their service to their community and their local school committee, have exhibited the best characteristics of public service.
MASC Life Membership Nomination
Submission Deadline: July 1, 2025
Life membership is a designation established to honor individuals who, through their service to the Association, have made a significant contribution to the Association.
COSCAP Executive Assistant of the Year Award Nomination
Submission Deadline: July 18, 2025
This award is designed to bring recognition to the valuable work that executive and administrative assistants do in our schools.
MASC 2025 Official Delegate Form
Submission Deadline: October 20, 2025
In order for your school committee to have a vote at the annual business meeting of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees, it is necessary that an official delegate be designated. An official delegate is only that delegate whose school committee has formally voted to make them so.
