The following MASC Divisions are looking for members to serve as Division Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary-Treasurer: I, III, V, VII, and IX. These divisions are also looking for individuals to serve on the Nominating Committee – members of this committee are responsible for interviewing interested candidates for MASC Division Officers.

Division Chairman
The Chairman shall preside at the meetings of the Organization and of the Executive Committee and shall appoint (with the advice and consent of the Executive Committee) whatever committees are deemed necessary to carry out the aims and purposes of the Organization. The Division Chairman’s duties shall include, but not be limited to duties as stated in the MASC by-laws, Article V, Sec. 6 as follows:
The Division Chairman shall:
(a) be responsible for promoting the aims and purposes of the Association in the Division and shall preside at all Division meetings unless the Chairman shall have made appropriate arrangements for the Vice Chairman to preside,
(b) be a member of the Board of Directors of the Association. Whenever a Division Chairman is unable to attend a meeting of the Board of Directors, he/she shall notify the Division Vice Chairman or such other Division officer as the Division by-laws may provide who may attend and act at such meetings with all the powers of the Division Chairman;
(c) maintain and file with the Executive Director of the Association a copy of its by-laws with all amendments thereto and a list of the names and addresses of its current officers.
Division Vice Chairman
The Division Vice Chairman shall act in the absence or disability of the Chairman.
Secretary-Treasurer
The Secretary-Treasurer shall be the clerk of the Division and shall keep a record of all the proceedings of the Division, submitting this information on an ongoing basis to the Executive Director. The Secretary-Treasurer shall, under the direction of the Division Chair, collect, take charge of, and keep proper accounts of all funds and expenditures of the Division, and shall submit such records to the Executive Director.
